Mika Kauffman

Mika Kauffman (they/he) is a multi-hyphenate queer artist based in Brooklyn, primarily a director, musical writer, dramaturg and producer. Hailed from Baltimore, they received their BFA in acting from Towson University and an MFA in musical theatre writing from Tisch, and is creating equitable, collaborative spaces for cultivating new work. Off-Broadway credits include #adulting, a millennial opera (Director), The Great Cat Massacre (Director), safeword. (Associate Director), Afterglow (Assistant Director, co-dramaturg), reading-performance of Paranormative (Book, Lyrics), We Are The Tigers (Dramaturg); upcoming projects include MAXA, The Maddest Woman in the World (Book, Lyrics) premiering at University of Minnesota Duluth in 2021, and 10 Days in a Madhouse (Director) set to premiere Off-Broadway in 2022. He is a resident artist of Poetic Theater Productions as well as a member of Ring of Keys and SDC.
