Lauren Brooke Ellis

Lauren Brooke Ellis (she/hers) is a director, stage manager, playwright, and educator from Aiken, South Carolina, currently residing in Roanoke, Virginia. She completed her Master's degree in Playwriting and the New Play Directing certificate from Hollins University last May and is now visiting faculty and a guest artist there. Lauren is also currently the chair of playwriting for the Southeastern Theatre Conference and heads up the Getchell New Play Award and the Ten Minute Play Festival for them. Her current project is co-directing Caryl Churchill's "The Skriker" with Wendy-Marie Martin. In her free time, she goes on road trips, bakes bagels, and plays pinball until her wrists hurt.
