ERIC SCIOTTO (Director) Directed and Choreographed The Full Monty for Theatre Workshop of Nantucket, Into the Woods for Stage 23 Theatre Co., and AIDA for WCPSS/Broadway Series South, Bat Boy The Musical, You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown, Drop Dead, The Drowsy Chaperone, Steel Magnolias, The Foreigner, Freaky Friday, Bright Star, and Xanadu for which he won the 2015 Metro Award for Outstanding Choreography.

Some of his Choreography credits include Mamma Mia! & Pippin for Summer Repertory Theatre in Santa Rosa, and, not long ago,the West Coast Regional Premier of Something Rotten at Musical Theater West in Long Beach, CA. Eric was in the process of recreating his staging for Something Rotten at Phoenix Theatre Company (which had to shut down due to COVID on the night of the first dress rehearsal), and by the time this podcast/Radio Play airs, Eric will have helmed a fully staged ROCK OF AGES for Orbit Arts Academy in GA... in about 72 hours of rehearsal!


For years, Eric has traveled extensively teaching Musical Theatre dance and coaching Musical Theatre students all around the nation, at colleges and high schools and studios, as well as performing in concerts and benefits, and also judging dance competitions. Eric is about to start his 3rd year of teaching for the Musical Theatre Program at the University of Utah.


In addition to Directing and Choreographing, Eric has been performing professionally for over 25 years. He has appeared in 12 Broadway shows, most recently starring as William Shakespeare in Something Rotten. Also on Broadway, Eric has performed in Annie Get Your Gun, Aida, Sweet Smell of Success, Sweet Charity, 42nd Street, Cry-Baby, A Chorus Line, Pal Joey, Rock of Ages, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, and The Mystery of Edwin Drood. He is featured on 6 Original Broadway Cast Recordings. Eric toured the nation as Paul in A Chorus Line, Tommy Keeler in Annie Get Your Gun and Frank in Seven Brides… A few of his favorite regional credits are Nice Work If You Can Get It (Jimmy Winter) at Musical Theatre West, A Chorus Line (Zach), Footloose (Ren), Pirates of Penzance (Frederic), & Aida (Radames). Most recently, Eric played Giuseppe in The Light In the Piazza starring Renee Fleming.


This is Eric's first Radio Play and is very grateful to Freda Mattea for callin' him up and getting him involved, and SUPER grateful to this astounding cast who graciously committed their time and talents to bring this quirky piece to life!
