Why use Robots in the Classroom?

Like Dash and Dot, LEGO WeDo is geared toward lower grade levels (2-5). LEGO WeDo allows students to build simple machines using LEGO pieces and then create programs for those machines using a connected USB cable LEGO piece and the drag and drop method of coding.

LEGO Mindstorms is geared toward higher grade levels (7-12). Like LEGO WeDo, this product will require a "build" before coding can take place. After a design is built, students can then code with a drag and drop program. LEGO Mindstorm competitions are springing up throughout the country and many schools have competitive teams.

*Keep in mind that both LEGO products require a program to be installed on a computer before coding can take place whereas Dash and Ozobot can be coded with a free app.
