Rippowam International Baccalaureate Middle School is a learning community that is committed to promoting academic excellence within a safe, nurturing environment that is responsive to the social, emotional, and intellectual needs of each adolescent child. Rippowam has more than 700 students enrolled and is Stamford’s largest middle school. The school community at Rippowam is a reflection of Stamford’s diverse population both ethnically and socio-economically. A predominant percentage of students come from low – mid income families as 60% of the student population is on free/reduced lunch.
We are on a mission to improve our school and support the needs of our 21st century learners. The projects below have been designed by our teachers to help support Rippowam's quest to improve our academic achievements and overall school climate. We are letting our students know that we care deeply about their experience here at Rippowam by campaigning for materials and equipment that will invite them into our rooms and prepare them for academic success.
