About the program:
The Instrumental Music Programs at Toquam Elementary and Newfield Elementary are designed to provide students with an introductory experience on band instruments. Curriculum for this course is an extension of the skills and concepts introduced in General Music classes. Beginning Band is open to all Fourth and Fifth Grade students. Prior instrumental music experience is not required. Instrumental lessons are once per week.

My goal is to begin a life-long music journey for each student by creating opportunities for expression and positive social experiences. By creating a solid foundation of music theory and instrumental technique at the elementary level, it will set students up for success for Middle School Band and beyond!
