What We Will Learn
PreK3 & PreK4 Art
Our youngest artists learn through exploration, creating, and having fun! Building up fine motor skills, such as tearing, cutting with scissors, gluing, coloring, painting, etc. through play will be a central focus. We will explore art through colors, shapes, seasons, nature, and the world around us.
Kindergarten–2nd Grade Art
Our K-2nd grade artists will continue building their fine motor skills as we jump into the foundations of art! We will begin learning the Elements and Principles of Art while using a variety of materials and techniques to create their own art work. We will also include cross-curricular connections through various books to support our learning!
3rd–5th Grade Art
Our 3rd-5th grade artists will grow in their skills and confidence as we continue to explore Elements and Principles of Art. They will experiment with different media, strengthen their techniques, and create artwork that reflects their own ideas and creativity. We will begin to explore artists and how they influence our creative world!
6th–8th Grade Art
Our 6th-8th grade artists will continue developing their confidence and artistic skills to encourage their own creative voice and ideas! We will also learn about artists, art movements, and different cultures to help us discover how art helps us connect with our greater world!!
