NOTE:
At times, circumstances out of our control, such as illness, family issues, or other major events, would require an exception to these policies. If this is the case, contact your child’s teacher. We are flexible and willing to help. Thank you for your cooperation with our Distance Learning days.
Online School Policy
Behavior expectations while attending online class are the same as in a St. Albert classroom. Inappropriate behavior will result in consequences as determined by the teacher, school principal and/or assistant principal.
Online class is for academic purposes only. The online school classroom is NOT to be used to communicate about non-academic topics. In cases where a teacher chooses to record a class lesson, he or she will make that recording available only to the students in the class. Any sharing of that recording by anyone other than a school official is prohibited. Any recorded or uploaded video or chat for online learning use can NOT be used for non-academic purposes.
Neither the student nor parent/guardian may record, photograph, share, or alter the content of live class-related activities. Students may not record any part of a lesson and/or any live activity with other students when that activity is for the purpose of school-related work unless express permission is provided by the teacher. Taking photographs or making video or audio recordings at school or at home without permission and/or making such images or recordings public without the subject's permission will result in one of the following consequences: detention, suspension, or dismissal, dependent upon the circumstances.
Without teacher permission, if the student, parent, guardian, or any other associated person, share, publish or repost images, videos or recordings from a class to social media, the student will face consequences as determined by the principal or assistant principal up to and including suspension or dismissal.
