About Me

I grew up in Rhode Island, attended college and graduate school in Virginia, lived in Washington, D.C. before settling down in Drexel Hill, PA. I studied English and secondary education at Marymount University and Children's literature in graduate school at Hollins University. My background in teaching spans from my student teaching at a sixth form college in London, England, to four years at a public middle school in Maryland, then onto a military academy, and lastly a vocational high school in PA. I have experience teaching middle and high school English, AP language and composition, and journalism. Last year was my first year back to teaching after starting a family.

On a more personal note, I have a wonderful and supportive husband, and we are proud parents to two marvelous boys, Gabriel and Oliver. Gabriel is entering 2nd grade and Oliver is in the PreK 4 program at STA. My family and I are parishioners at St. Dorothy Parish. I love reading, visiting my family and friends in New England during the summer months, and rainy days. Finally, I LOVE TEACHING! I'm so excited for this upcoming year and cannot wait to meet my new students and reunite with old ones!
