general info

bridging home & school learning

Hello PreK families! This page will be providing information regarding at-school routines/activities, as well as general information and ideas regarding at-home learning activities.

Students are used to up/down schedules, where they check the picture closest to the top. Additionally, we have "landing pads" around the room to match these pictures to.

Visual schedules

To the left are several examples of visual schedules students followed at school. These can be easily recreated with clip art pictures, or I would be happy to provide visuals to help! You do not need to recreate a visual schedule for your child at home, but it can be very helpful in letting them know what to expect and transition without issue throughout the day.

Familiar activities

The wheels on the bus

We sing to this song each day at circle time, and encourage students to imitate the motions. Hand-over-hand is also used to help students engage in the song.

the letter of the day song

Students listen to this song each day as well, clapping when appropriate and saying the letter at the end of the video. The video can be found for each letter on Youtube (letter of the day 's').
