Covid 19 precautions in Ireland

Written by Mae and Eoghan

On Thursday the 13th of March 2020 the government made the decision to close schools. We left school thinking we would only be off for two weeks.A couple of weeks later ,Taoiseach Leo Varadkar announced that we could only go within 2km of our house and that all unesential ratail and building sites needed to be closed.

Gradually, the restrictions began to ease and everything went back to kind of normal. Then during Christmas 2020 numbers of Covid cases daily began to rise and we went back into lockdown until March.

Thankfully, a lot of people have been vaccinated and we havent gone back into lockdown since march.Hopefully it will stay this way.
