Lahan Choir

Lahan is the name of our choral programme that runs from Reception to Year 6. This is a choir for anyone who enjoys singing and performing. The choirs perform at many concerts and events in school and the wider community.

This choir runs for the full academic year, however, we ask that you register your child every term

Junior Recorder Players

An opportunity for our young recorder players to further develop skills learned in curriculum music and be part of an ensemble to learn more challenging repertoire whilst having fun.

Primary String Ensemble

The Primary String Ensemble plays a wide range of music and performs in many of the school concerts. If you play Violin, Viola, Cello or Double Bass, then come along and join us.

Primary Guitar Ensemble

The Junior Guitar Ensemble learns to play a wide range of music throughout the year and all levels develop new techniques in a relaxed atmosphere. The group bring their own guitars and perform at many concerts and events in the school calendar. This ensemble is open for all guitarists who are able to play Grade 1 pieces or above.

Beginner Strings

This ensemble is for all beginner string players to get together and enhance their performing skills as part of a group. They will work on a variety of pieces to develop their technique whilst having fun learning as part of a group.

Junior Brass

Junior Brass players are welcome to join Mr Milgate to play some fun and challenging brass repertoire. Music is arranged to suit all levels, however, please check with your instrumental teacher before attending. This group will prepare pieces to play at our many musical events planned for the academic year.

Piano Practice Club

This club is for piano players who have been studying for a few years and is by invitation only. The piano players are taught strategies to get the most out of their practice sessions.

Junior Wind Band

Junior Wind Band is for all Brass and Woodwind players to come along and develop skills in technique and performance. Music is arranged to suit all levels attending and everyone will have something challenging to play. The group will play at many events and concerts throughout the academic year. All players are welcome, however, check with your instrumental teacher before attending.

Double Bass Ensemble

An ensemble for our Double Bass players to play ensemble pieces together and further develop technique learned in instrumental lessons. Pieces are chosen carefully to give students experience to play different parts in harmony.
