North Hills Counseling Mission Statement
The mission of the North Hills School District’s School Counseling program is to provide a comprehensive, developmental school counseling program that addresses the academic, career, and social/emotional mindsets and behaviors of all students. North Hills school counselors strive to remove barriers to student’s progress and to empower students to maximize their personal potential and achievement. We aim to excel at educating and preparing each student to become a responsible, contributing member of society by providing a caring and academically challenging environment and to be accessible and equitable for all students. In partnership with stakeholders (parents/guardians, students, business/community, and post-secondary programs), school counselors work to support all students in the North Hills School District so that they possess the knowledge and skills needed to be successful in today’s changing society.
