Welcome LT Educators!
Rigor Week will be VIRTUAL this year! Lawrence Township is fortunate to have a certified staff of more than 1,000 dedicated educators. Rigor Week is a professional learning opportunity presented by the district that gathers our community of professional educators to learn and grow together.
This year's opportunities are pared-down and more focused on our current immediate needs during these unprecedented times. There are three types of learning opportunities for participants; Seminars, Workshops and Webinars.
- A Seminar is a themed series of learning opportunities that dive deeply into topics that will be critical to returning to learning in the Fall.
- A Workshop is an asynchronous learning experience that provides participants with the opportunity to explore a topic at their own pace.
- A Webinar is a synchronous learning event that addresses specific topic or concept via a virtual presentation from an expert.

- Each Seminar will feature Virtual Breakout sessions with our Keynote Speakers that provide teachers the opportunity to interact with our speakers and gain valuable insight into topics.
Element 3: Virtual Workshops
Element 3: Virtual Workshops
- These online courses break down topics into digestible chunks and provide teachers the opportunity to work with colleagues virtually through a given topic.
- Virtual Workshops will be aligned with Keynote and Breakout Session topics to create a seamless experience for teachers to dig deeply into a topic and prepare to apply their learning.
- Virtual Workshops include a host of valuable resources that are related to each topic. These resources will be available throughout the year.
- Teachers will have access to the Workshops throughout the week and will be able to complete the workshop at their own pace.
- Teachers will have the opportunity to create or join small groups of colleagues to work through the content as a team.
- Workshops include guided activities that provide attendees with the opportunity to plan for the direct application of key concepts.
