Graduation Update
We will continue to provide updates with additional information as that day approaches and we confirm event details with the staff at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. For now, however, here are some items that we can share to help you and your families prepare for June 6. Please remember ALL graduation requirements (academic) must be complete for a student to be eligible to participate in the Commencement Ceremony.
Date: Thursday June 6, 2024
Location: Indiana State Fairgrounds – Indiana Farmers Coliseum 1202 E 38th St, Indianapolis, IN 46205
Time: Ceremony will begin at 7:00 pm
Graduating Seniors will also participate in a graduation rehearsal the morning of the ceremony (see details below) and will have a report time around 5:00 pm for the actual ceremony
Day of the Ceremony:
Student Practice/Rehearsal (Mandatory): Doors open at 8:30 am – Practice will begin promptly at 9:00 am
Students will report to the Champions Pavilion next to the Indiana Farmers Coliseum
Commencement Ceremony:
Students will report to the Champions Pavilion and locate their seat by 5:30 pm
Recommend students plan to enter Fairgrounds and park at 5:00 pm
STUDENTS PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A FORMAL CEREMONY…
Students may NOT decorate or alter their Cap & Gowns
Students must be in their Cap & Gown, worn over professional attire

Coliseum Doors open to families at 5:30 pm
Ceremony begins at 7:00 pm
A live stream will be available through the LC Facebook Page
Tickets: Tickets are required for families, friends, guests that wish to attend the ceremony (Children under the age of 5 do not require a ticket). Each student will receive 10 tickets, NO Additional tickets can be provided by the school.
MSDLT will live stream the ceremony for any family members, friends, or guests that exceed the student allotment.

Pick-up Date: Tickets will be available for pick-up at Cap & Gown Delivery Friday May 3.
Please note students must be on track to complete all mandatory graduation requirements for their diploma type before graduation tickets will be released.

Passing all required classes for graduation/diploma type
Making appropriate progress in all PLATO coursework, 90% Completion
Students must have student ID to pick up tickets (Skyward is Acceptable)
Parking: $10 per car (Student Car-Pooling is encouraged)
Student/Guest Parking will be in the State Fairgrounds Infield

The Senior Graduation & Scholarship survey is now open. This survey provides critical information that allows our counseling department to recognize our seniors accomplishments at our Senior Honors Night and facilitate a successful post-secondary transition.

Herff Jones - Cap & Gown Orders
All cap & gown orders should be submitted at this time. If you have not yet ordered yoru cap and gown, please do so ASAP, using the Herff Jones website: Link to Herff Jones LC Page to place any remaining orders.
Students/Families with a remaining balance to be paid on their order should contact Herff Jones directly to complete all transactions. Please use their website Link to Herff Jones LC Page , phone 317-839-1600, or email info@hjindiana.com to submit your balance payments.
The base Cap & Gown package for graduation is $37.95 (plus tax and shipping cost). These items will be yours to keep, but please note, the MSD of Lawrence Township hosts a formal commencement ceremony. Students will NOT be able to participate in the ceremony if their cap & gowns have been decorated or altered in any way.
Herff Jones also offers a variety of products and packages related to graduation in addition to the Cap & Gown package required for Graduation. These accessories (announcements, Jewelry, Apparel, etc.) can be purchased with the Student's Cap & Gown, often in a bundle that offers some potential savings, but are not required

Personalized Items (Including the Diploma) will be printed "exactly" as submitted by students on their order forms. Please be sure students print and submit their formal name as you want it to appear on all graduation namecards)
Full Payment is NOT required to secure your order, but a deposit must be provided
Cap & Gown Delivery will occur on Friday May 3
Some Senior Apparel (T-Shirt, Hoodie, Joggers) and accessories (Tumbler, Lanyard, Metal Keychain, Memory Tassel) will be available on order day with the $80 deposit or full payment
Graduation Announcements and Custom Items will be delivered with Caps & Gowns in May

Grad Pathways -- Employability Skills
Under the "Graduation Pathways" requirement set by the State of Indiana. There are three specific requirements/“boxes”, that must be completed for high school graduation:
Earn a high school diploma—Core 40, Academic or Technical Honors
Demonstrate employability skills
Demonstrate at least one post-secondary readiness competency.
Your counselor’s have been working with you to complete these requirements throughout your high school career. The 2nd area/box, “Demonstrate employability skills”, however, can be completed in a number of ways both in and outside of school. To help us confirm and verify completion of “Box 2 - Employability Skills”, we have developed a reporting process.
Please use the linked Employability Skills Introduction Letter to review additional information on this graduation requirement and our process for reporting.
You can then complete this confirmation process by filling out the following form:
