Visiting the library before school and during lunch:
All students are welcome to come to the library before school and during lunch without a pass. Food is allowed in the library during lunchtime, however students are not permitted to go to the cafeteria, and then leave the cafeteria to come to the library.
Visiting the library from 8:20-3:35
Students are welcome to visit the library during class-time as long as they have a pass from their teacher. All students must sign in at the kiosk and show the library staff their pass.
Visiting the library after school
Students may visit the library after school (Monday-Thursday) for tutoring or independent study time through Cougar Help. They must sign in at the kiosk and they must follow the rules and guidelines set forth by the Cougar Help administrator. A Cougar Help schedule can be located here.
We have 8 Mac Carts (15 computers per cart), and 2 Dell Carts (30 Computers per cart) on campus. All reservations should be made through Eduphoria. Please refer to this this document for directions. Since we must all share them, here are the rules set forth by administration for reserving carts:
TCHS Laptop Cart Policies:
- Your class may reserve a maximum of 2 laptop carts 2 times per week in advance. This serves to ensure that one person is not monopolizing the carts. EXCEPTION: If it is the day of, and nobody else has reserved the carts, you are free to reserve them.
- Carts may not be reserved if you aren’t going to be in class. If you have a sub in your room that day, please do not reserve the carts. We have had too many instances of the carts and computers not being taken properly care of when a sub is in charge.
- Please refer to the picture on the top for managing and organizing the computers. They need to be in order, pushed all the way to the back, facing the correct direction, and plugged in. If you receive a cart that is not in proper order, please let me know. Likewise, if we get a cart from you that is not in order, we will be contacting you to send someone to fix it.
- Please have the cart either back to the library or in the next person’s room as soon as your time slot is finished. Sometimes teachers reserve carts after we have printed the schedule, so we need them in the library for them to pick up.
- If you reserve the carts 4th period, please have them back to the library by 3:45pm. If you need the carts after that time, you will need to get with Mr. Gilbreath to reserve them after hours.
- If a laptop is not working in the cart you reserved, please put in a technology ticket for it.
