LISD Counseling Services Website
To establish the Developmental Guidance Plan for the district and campuses, LISD counselors rely upon the American School Counseling Association National Model and the Texas Model. These models includes the following elements:
Foundation includes our beliefs and mission statements and legislation that defines our program as we address the academic, career and social-emotional needs of all children.
Delivery System addresses how the program will be implemented and includes these four components:
Guidance Curriculum
Individual Planning
Responsive Services
Systems Support
Management System addresses the when (calendar, campus plans and agreements), why (use of data) and on what authority (district, campus and state guidelines).
Accountability answers the question, “How are students different as a result of this program?” Each campus develops reports to assist in this as well as an evaluation of the program.
