Gimme 5!

What is Gimme 5?

• A week where relationships outweigh content.
• The beginning of the culture that will be created in your classroom.
• A week of teambuilding not just for students but for teachers as well.
• Quite possibly one of the longest most tiresome weeks of your entire school year, BUT 100% worth every minute!

What will we be doing?

• Team building across grade levels
• Emphasis on procedures
• Embarrassing yourself
• Laughing
• Wearing comfortable clothes

What do you need to do for GIMME 5 to work?

• Believe in the power of positive relationships
• Know that we won't reach every child, BUT that every child deserves that positive presumption
• Follow the schedule - it will be different by grade level

Although it is difficult to spend so much of the first week out of your classroom, the connections you will make with the students will go a long way to help make your year a GREAT one!
