Welcome Parents and Guardians!
Supporting my students inside & outside of the classroom Is what I am all about!
As I have said, I am thrilled to be working with you and your student this year. I hope we communicate often and build a team between us and school/home to make sure that your student is as successful as they can be. Below you will find a little bit about myself and my teaching philosophy.
I have been a Lewisville resident all my life. I am a Lewisville alumni from Marcus HS and I appreciative to be part of the LISD family and have the opportunity to give back to students the way that teachers supported me. I have also been a substitute teacher in LISD for 3 years, and an Extended School Day Aide in LISD. I have a love for the learning environment that requires focus, goal setting, and creating space and climate for the children to fill free to take risk and be fully engaged. I graduated from Texas Woman's University and received my Early Childhood through 6th grade Teaching Degree.
I am thrilled to be a part of the OSE family and this amazing LISD Special Education community. I have a philosophy in teaching, and I have and will always stay true to it:
"One Child, One Teacher, One Book, One Pen can Change the WORLD"
- Malala Yousafzai
Please let me know if you have any input, questions, or comments. I can't wait to have a wonderful year with you and your student. As I have said, we are a FAMILY, and this year we will learn, grow, and have FUN!
