Welcome Mavericks!
Hello! My name is Laura Norton and this year I will be starting my 18th year as a counselor in LISD and 25th year in education! Previously, I taught 3rd grade and 5th grade in Birdville ISD. I was born in Connecticut, then ventured to Canada for a few years and finally landed in Oklahoma until I graduated high school. I came to Texas to attend college in Fort Worth at TCU and I never went back! I am still a big OU Sooner fan though, even though both my Bachelors and Masters came from TCU.
I have been with my wonderful husband Bo for 23 years, and I am blessed to have the BEST family and friends. I enjoy going on the lake, reading, watching football and spending time with my peeps! I am also very involved in fighting cancer through the amazing work of St.Jude Children's Hospital.
I love working in LISD and am looking forward to a terrific 4rd year with our Mavericks and their families.
