Making the Team

MHS AcDec aims to create a supportive, encouraging, and cohesive team environment.

We achieve this goal by:

• participating in group work and team study

• meeting for team outings as able

• displaying an encouraging and supportive attitude

• traveling to and from events with the team

Decathletes spend the fall semester learning, collaborating, and working toward the creation of our competition team, which is composed of nine students: three Honors, three Scholastic, and three Varsity.

All decathletes have an opportunity to compete in the fall semester. The spring competition team will be decided at the end of the second nine weeks. The team members are decided based on performance at competitions, collaboration with the team, and overall attitude towards improvement.
