Day to Day Operations

• Breakfast and lunch must be paid for this year.  Please use the link on the nutrition site to load money onto your child's account.  This is the link to apply for Free and Reduced Lunch. We encourage all families to complete this application. 

• If you choose to pack your child’s lunch instead of buying, please ensure that your child knows how to open every item. 

• Each class will eat breakfast in their classrooms and lunch in the cafeteria. 

• Student breakfast is served 7:15-7:45 AM.

• Student breakfast is $1.35 ($0.30 for reduced) lunch is $2.85. ($0.40 for reduced) 

• There will not be an option to walk your child to the door.  Please wait behind the tension ropes and you will be assisted.  You will need your car tag to pick up your child.  It is safer to go through the car line for pick up versus crossing the traffic. Can I come eat lunch at school with my child?

• Visitors will be allowed on campus after the first 9 weeks of school.  

Can I bring treats for my child’s birthday?

• Yes! You may send birthday treats as long as they are store bought and individual. (cupcakes are allowed, a sheet cake will not be permitted) No homemade items or balloons please.  All birthday treats will be served at the end of the school day.  Parents cannot join the class to pass out the treats.

When can I call or come visit with my child’s teacher?

• We cannot interrupt instructional time for teachers to take phone calls or answer emails/Webex/SeeSaw messages, but you are welcome to leave a message.  Teachers are able to return your call or schedule a conference during their scheduled conference time. Teachers should return your call, email, or SeeSaw message within 24 hours.

• You may request a conference with teachers at any time. 

What do I do if my child forgets an item needed for school?

• You may drop off items at the office and they will be delivered to your child.

How can I volunteer to help out at Lillie J Jackson ECC?

• LISD requires that each volunteer, whether it is on site at the school or on a field trip, complete a Volunteer Background Check at https://lewisvilleisd.voly.org/.  Allow 2-3 weeks to receive approval.

ABSENCES:

The note needs to state your child’s legal name, the reason for absence as well as the exact date of the absence(s)

You are only allowed 5 absences with a parent note for the school year. Everything after 5 is unexcused UNLESS it is a note from the doctor or you have completed a pre-planned absence form.
