Review the information below about the academic courses and specialized programs offered in middle school.  

ALL students will have in their schedule:

Total of 8 class periods. 

Note: Exact order of classes and teachers will not be released until approximately a week before the first day of school in August 2024. There will be multiple offerings of these classes. Select courses based on your interests and goals- not that of a friend. Most likely, students will not be in classes with close friends at all times.

What are Honors Courses?

Lewisville ISD is proud to offer a variety of HONORS courses that are open to all secondary students. The purpose of these courses is to meet the needs of students eager to engage in a challenging curriculum as they consider the multiple pathways that will lead to future college and career success. 

HONORS courses will offer an additional layer of depth and complexity applied to the standard core content alongside the high expectations and authentic learning experiences found in all LISD courses. Depth and complexity applied to the standard curriculum offers rich learning experiences for students interested in taking on the challenge of advanced coursework. Testing for Acceleration - CBA Tests

WORLD LANGUAGE TESTING (optional)

LISD students can now earn high school credit for languages learned outside of school. The current foreign language requirement to graduate is 2 years of the same language. Depending on how well a student does on the test, a student can earn up to 4 high school credits. If you are interested in testing, please fill out this form link HERE. If you are currently taking a Spanish class or wanting to take Spanish at Killian or in high school,  DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS TEST.
