Quick Facts about School Attendance

• 5 Parent notes are allowed per year to excuse absences

• Early sign outs / early pick ups of students between the hours of 9:10 to 3:05 will count as one of the 5 parent notes.

• After 5 absences with parent notes, any additional absences will need a note from a medical provider to be excused

• 3 Unexcused absences will trigger an automatically generated Truancy Warning Letter - these electronic communications are sent out 

• 6 Unexcused absences will trigger a second Truancy Warning Letter

• 10 Unexcused absences can result in Truancy charges being filed

• Tardies and Early pick ups count as 'parts of days' and can accumulate toward possible truancy charges
