6th Grade

In 6th grade you will have 8 total classes, 4 of which will be your core classes. Core classes for sixth graders are English Language Arts (ELA), Math, Science, and Contemporary World (Social Studies). 

*Certain core classes may be double- blocked which will take place of an elective.  Please see your child's counselor if you have questions.

For each core class you have a choice between an on level class, a Honors class, and a Gifted/Talented class for ELA.

*Students will also choose a Physical Education class. They may choose either PE ,Pre-Athletics or External PE.

* For electives, students must choose a FINE ARTS class. They will choose between Band, Orchestra, or Choir for their first elective.

**ALL 6th grade students will be placed in a Study Skills class as an elective for their 2nd elective.

***Students will choose another elective for their 3rd elective as well as 2 ALTERNATE choices in case a requests is not available or does not fit into their schedule due to a conflict of other classes.
