Students will receive a new spelling list on Wednesday, Jan. 28th. The spelling test for this list will be Friday, Feb. 6th. The pattern for this list is "r-Controlled vowels ar, or, ore"
Remember we keep the same list of words for two weeks.
Students should be practicing and be familiar with ALL words on the spelling handout that comes home. The highlighted words are what they will be tested over.
Dictation sentences are made up of sight words and spelling words or words with the same spelling patterns we have already learned this year. However we will not start these for the first test.
Please remember when students receive a new spelling list, it is for 2 weeks.
Blue Group: chore, glory, large, color, spark, warm, partner, sparkle, important, tornado
Orange Group: card, dark, start, smart, store, hard, north, storm, now
SIGHT WORDS for this week: after, father, letter, over, paper, river, together, under
Sight words are always listed in your child's Student planner every week as well.
