At the Hebron 9th Grade Campus, we believe the 9th-grade year is an essential transition year in a student’s education experience. We aim to empower our students through authentic, engaging learning opportunities for success in high school and beyond. We encourage all of our students to challenge themselves academically as well as get involved in a school club or organization. We want all of our students to have the best possible start to their high school experience.

The HHS9 school counselors work to promote student safety in a number of different ways. As a campus counseling and administration team, we work to build a schedule for weekly advisory programming included but not limited to our Character Strong programming, suicide prevention, dating violence awareness and prevention as well as academic information related to course selection information and GPA. Our campus administration and counseling team work to support students needing RtI assistance as well as assigning mentors to students. All of these efforts, as well as daily counseling supports, are designed to ensure that our students feel safe and have access to resources at school.
Our counselors are significant members of our campus Building Leadership Team (BLT) and are vital to campus decision making and leadership. One Advisory Committee that the Hebron High School 9 (HHS9) Counseling Department participates in is the Building Leadership Team (BLT). The purpose of the HHS9’s BLT is to collaborate with community members, school administration, and school professionals to create a strong and safe learning environment for all students at HHS9. BLT members are selected through an election process for school members, and community members are invited to participate. The HHS9 counselors play a vital role in developing and implementing the PAWS program, working with BLT members to ensure program success.
