Drumming

This year, Drumming (grades 4-5) will be practicing on Thursday from dismissal until 4:00pm. (There may be very isolated times where we do practice on a different day of the week, usually as the last practice before a performance.) The size of the group is capped at 20. If there is more than 20 interested students, we will do a lottery drawing for the 20 spots.

The only fee for Drumming is purchasing our performance t-shirt, which is usually around $16 Students will wear their shirt with black pants for all performances. Do not send any money in until it is time for shirt orders to be placed.

This group meets for the full school year! This is a performing ensemble and not a casual club or activity group, so consistent attendance is expected. When a student has exceeded 3 absences, their participation in the group will be reevaluated.

Our practice time is limited and precious, therefore expectations for behavior and citizenship are high. Consistent issues with behavior, kindness and respect risk removal from the group.   

Please make sure your student is picked up on time (if they go home via car) when we finish at 4:00. If a student is frequently picked up late, their participation in the group will be reevaluated.

More information will come home via email. You will also receive a practice schedule for the first half of the school year.
