French 3

Welcome to French 3! This is the third level of French study and is designed to expand upon the knowledge of the present tense and basic vocabulary gained in French 1 & 2 with expansions into reading novels and working independently.  The student will develop the ability to communicate  in the four modes of communication at a novice-high to intermediate-mid level on the ACTFL proficiency scale.  In short, you will achieve a moderate understanding of how to read, write, listen to, and speak French, and through these modes of communication gain increased understanding of the culture and practices of France and other French-speaking countries.
