Academic Support is a specialized resource class designed to help students meet their IEP goals, improve executive functioning skills, and receive individualized academic support. Students will build skills in organization, time management, self-advocacy, goal-setting, and study habits, while also receiving help with assignments from their general education classes.
Throughout the year students will:
Work consistently on IEP goals with progress monitoring.
Develop executive functioning skills (organization, time management, planning).
Improve self-advocacy and independent learning strategies.
Receive targeted help with general education coursework.
Participate in regular check-ins and self-assessments
