3rd Annual Purple Star Summit

The 2026 Ohio Purple Star Schools Annual Summit was an incredible day of collaboration and connection! It brought together educators, military leaders, and community partners from across the state with a shared mission of supporting Ohio's military-connected students and families. Attendees heard from influential speakers who shared valuable perspectives, resources, and inspiration. Breakout sessions sparked meaningful conversations about student support, family engagement, and creating strong Purple Star culture within our schools and communities. A highlight of the day was the regional collaboration sessions, where participants shared best-practices in supporting military-connected youth, brainstormed creative solutions, and walked away with practical ideas to put into action right away! A huge thank you to Ashland University for hosting this wonderful event, and to Ohio Connections Academy for generously providing lunch. We also extend our gratitude to the speakers, presenters, planning team, and community partners who made the day possible.
