臺中市清水區槺榔國小迎來三位來自美國的華裔青年志工:Teddy Huang(10年級,就讀於Idyllwild Arts Academy)、Eric Zhang(10年級,就讀於Sage Hill High School),以及UCLA電影系碩士生的Edward Huang。
Kanglang Elementary School welcomed three amazing Chinese-American volunteers from the U.S.: Teddy Huang (10th grade, Idyllwild Arts Academy), Eric Zhang (10th grade, Sage Hill High School), and UCLA Film master’s student Edward Huang.
Over two weeks, they brought fun, interactive English lessons, helping students improve their speaking skills through themed activities and real-life practice. During breaks, they played basketball and soccer with students, creating a relaxed environment to use English naturally. They also designed bilingual teaching posters and joined the principal for morning English broadcasts, making learning engaging and meaningful.
This project not only strengthened English learning but also deepened students’ understanding of diverse cultures. Kanglang Elementary looks forward to continuing partnerships with Etosha Education Consulting Institute and PAC, connecting Taiwan and U.S. educational resources, and promoting SDGs in quality education and partnerships.
Volunteers Edward, Teddy, and Eric, Chinese-American from California, spent two weeks bringing fun and engaging language and cultural lessons to our students. Through their lively and interactive teaching, the children naturally practiced listening and speaking English, learning while having a great time!
We believe that by giving children more opportunities to use English, they can “understand well, speak well, and express well.” This international volunteer program not only broadened the students’ horizons but also let them experience the joy of connecting with the world.
