Calico Spanish
Our Kindergarten and First graders use the Calico Spanish program. Calico is a partial immersion program that uses short videos in the target language to teach new vocabulary. Click on the photo to the left to watch our "Good morning" video!
Calico Accelerate
Our Second and Third graders follow the Calico Accelerate program. Familiar children's literature in Spanish, cultural activities, and immersion into the language are used to teach new concepts and practice previous ones.
¡Viva el español!
Grades 4-8 follow the ¡Viva el español! curriculum (among other resources). They practice and review past skills while learning new vocabulary and grammar. We concentrate on speaking activities and create skits completely in Spanish once a year to practice what we have learned. We also celebrate major hispanic holidays and participate in cultural activities throughout the year.
