Teaching is my passion in life! It is the only thing I have ever wanted to be. I am so excited to work with your child this school year! It is going to be a year full of growing, learning, and fun. This is my 10th year teaching 1st grade at St. Louis. It took me ten years, after graduating, to find my way to my forever home here at St. Louis. In that time, I had many different experiences that have helped make me the teacher I am today. I have taught Kindergarten and 4th grade, and spent 3 years working as an Interventionist, with students who struggled in reading and math. I also had the opportunity to grow closer to God, while being the youth minister at St. Mary’s for 3 years. In my life, I have had experience working with children from infants all the way to seniors in high school. I love watching children grow and learn. I get so excited when they have worked so hard and finally reach that Aha moment! I am also amazed all the time at the lessons these little people teach me about life and love.

I have lived in Greensburg all my life, where I attended St. Mary’s Elementary and graduated from Greensburg High School. I continued my education receiving my teaching degree from Marian University in Indianapolis. I am a foster parent, with the hopes of adopting. We also have a puppy, Sailor, who is very sweet and full of energy. My brother, his wife and their four children live in Northern Indiana on Lake Michigan.

I am also active in Big Brother/Big Sisters in Decatur Co. I have been matched with my little sis, Lizzie, since she was in the 1st grade. She is senior in high school. We enjoy going shopping, baking together, volunteering at church and being outdoors going for walks and finding adventures.
