Math

    Fourth grade students will deepen their understanding of whole numbers, decimal numbers, and fractions. 

    Each week the fourth graders will complete several assignments that will be checked, but a percentage grade will not be placed on them. These assignments are for learning and practicing new concepts and skills. About once a week the students will complete a "Review" that assesses a mixture of concepts and skills. These problem sets will be marked with a percentage grade.

    About every three weeks, the fourth grade students will have a math test.

    The report card grade will be calculated by averaging the grades on the problem sets and averaging the test grades. Then the two averages will be averaged.
