Summer No. 5, Friday 14th May 2021

Gospel of the Week

(The Seventh Sunday of Easter - Year B)

Now I am coming to you. I will not stay in the world now. But these men are still in the world. Holy Father, keep them safe. Keep them safe by the power of your name (the name you gave me), so that they will be one, the same as you and I are one. While I was with them, I kept them safe. I kept them safe by the power of your name - the name you gave me. I protected them. And only one of them, the one who is going to hell, was lost. He was lost so that what was said in the Scripture would happen.

“I am coming to you now. But I pray these things while I am still in the world. I say these things so that these men can have my joy. I want them to have all of my joy. I have given them your teaching. And the world has hated them. The world hated these men, because they don’t belong to the world, the same as I don’t belong to the world. I am not asking you to take them out of the world. But I am asking that you keep them safe from the Evil One. They don’t belong to the world, the same as I don’t belong to the world. Make them ready for your service through your truth. Your teaching is truth. I have sent them into the world, the same as you sent me into the world. I am making myself ready to serve. I do this for them so that they can truly be ready for your service.

John 17: 11-19

House Points

An amazing week for House Points as almost 6000 were awarded! St Andrew just came out on top but even the 'lowest' score was nearly double last week's winners.

Don't forget you are able to check your MarvellousMe account to see when your child receives any House Points or Gold Letters so remember to keep an eye on the app!

Behaviour Chart Update

Another really great week as hundreds of Bronze, Silver and Gold awards were made. Class3/4P are starting to catch Class 3G in overall numbers and Class RW have shot up into 3rd place almost unnoticed!

If your child finishes the day on the Bronze or Silver level or is awarded a Gold Letter you will receive a message in the MarvellousMe app (MMe). If you are yet to download the MMe app please do so as soon as possible as all Gold Letters, House Points and messages etc. from the school will be sent via the MMe app.

children’s screen time during the Covid-19 pandemic, and that young people spent more time watching online content in 2020 than the previous year. But would you also have guessed that one in five children now post or share content via live streaming platforms – or that online gaming is growing in popularity among young girls?

These are just some of the findings in Ofcom’s ‘Children and Parents: Media Use and Attitudes’ report, released last week.
