St Stephen's at St Margaret's Fair 2023
Jo Hall (Year 5) once again managed a seamless operation for the stewarding at St Margaret's Fair this year. Thank you to the dozens of St Stephen's parent/carer volunteers who supported our annual FOSS Fair duty with their helping hands and hi-vis gilets by getting all the stall-holders' cars safely onto the field for set up, checking the entry points throughout the day and then guiding all cars back to their stalls for clear up and clear away. This year, a special shout out to the Year 5 children who stepped in to guide dozens of cars on and off the field - absolute superstars!
Jo attends termly Fair Committee meetings throughout the year to plan all Fair operations and logistics. The profits of each Fair are split between the five local schools that support the Fair through volunteering - in 2022 this was worth £3,300 per school, so really a fantastic fundraiser as well as a fabulous event!
FOSS is seeking someone to take on the role of St Margaret's Fair Coordinator for our school for Fair 2025 with the opportunity to shadow in 2024 since Jo will be leaving when her son progresses to Secondary school. Call her on 07798 865611 to find out more about this opportunity to become more involved in our local community - it's a fantastic way represent the school and be at the heart of this annual St Margaret's community event.
A special thank you once again to Jo for supporting the Fair and our school for the last five years!
