Safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do at St Stephen’s, and creating a safe, supportive environment where every child feels heard and protected is our highest priority.
To ensure our pupils always know where to turn when they need help, the entire school completes a special safeguarding activity at the start of every term. Through this activity, every child takes time to identify and reflect on their trusted adults - the key people in their lives they know they can talk to if they ever feel worried, unsafe, or upset.
As seen in the picture above of one of our Year 1 children completing their task, this simple yet powerful exercise helps our pupils visualise their personal support network. It empowers them with the confidence to seek guidance whenever they need it, ensuring that love, care, and safety surround them every single day.
We encourage you to ask your child about their "ten trusted adults" at home this week to reinforce this important message together!
