MR MUNN IS ON THE BALL

As you can well imagine, lost balls are an occupational hazard in a school playground. They stray upwards onto our flat roof by the bucketful and when stocks become particularly diminished we send up the intrepid Mr Munn to rescue them. This week his foraging was very successfull and balls aplenty were rescued, resulting in some very happy, smiley children. Thank you Mr Munn!

OUR YEAR TWO CHILDREN ARE GETTING READY TO PRESENT THEIR FABULOUS NATIVITY AT OUR CHRISTMAS SERVICE IN ST STEPHEN'S CHURCH ON DECEMBER 14TH AT 10AM. YEAR TWO PARENTS, WE WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU COME AND JOIN US TO VIEW THIS WONDERFUL PERFORMANCE.

CHRISTMAS LUNCH HELPERS - FRIDAY 16TH DECEMBER - WE NEED YOU!

Our annual Christmas lunch, as prepared by our fabulous chef Nicola and her team, is always a highlight of our Christmas calendar. We will need helpers to dish out the festive feast. Next week we will be sending out a letter to all parents asking for volunteer helpers. It is being held on Friday 16th December. These are not salaried appointments but we can pay you with a free Christmas lunch and lashings of good cheer. Thank you.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR NEW YEAR SIX JUNIOR LEADERSHIP TEAM

VICTORIAN VALUES IN YEAR FIVE

One of our favourite educational trips is when our Year Five children go back in time at Gunnersbury Park Museum. Studying the Victorian era makes this excursion a must as children get to go in the Dunces' Corner, scrub floors and endure endless shouting, learn to iron the old fashioned way and so much more. We may sound harsh and uncaring but this short taster of what a Victorian childhood was like really enables our children to show empathy with the past.

To get into character our young historians donned ninetenth century garb, as did our staff - see below. Thank you so much to our parents for supporting us so beautifully by seeking out some splendid vintage-style togs, it made all the difference. A wonderful trip. We promise no children were harmed during this trip - nobody came back with housemaid's knee and any knuckle rapping was purely for the camera.
