Our girls and boys both played friendly matches against Springfield Junior School. It is the beginning of the season and I am so proud of everyone who took part. The boys team is experienced but huge congratulations to the girls too, who have not played as many matches. We are hoping to give these and other girls an opportunity to play in the team in upcoming fixtures. This fixture gave the boys an opportunity to try new things and the girls a chance to showcase themselves to get into the team for the first league game.
Mr Ryan will be coaching the girls team this season alongside Mr.Cain coaching the boys team.
The boys struggled, especially in the first half, to find their feet but managed to secure a 2-2 draw and probably would haveĀ snatched the win, given another 5 minutes.
The girls, however, did a great job winning 7-0. All the girls were pushing themselves, showcasing themselves as there are limited spots available for our upcoming league matches. Some great performances and some amazing goals and my favourite is the clean results sheet!
Well done to Isla, Florence, Emi, Miriam, Alana, Niamh, Florence, Sofia, Eliza, Sassy, Oli, Aydin, Freddie, Seb, Peyton, Raff and Alistair.
