MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM ST STEPHEN'S
And it's a wrap! Two nativities, a sumptious Christmas lunch, a carol service and Christmas jumpers. All of these and lots more added up to a fabulous festive run up at St Stephen's. We will be welcoming the children back on Tuesday 9th January for the start of the Spring term. Our staff Inset day is on Monday 8th. From everyone at St Stephen's, we wish you a restful and Merry Christmas.
FAREWELL TO MRS KHAKI AND MISS FERGUSON
This week is a sad one for us as we bid the fondest of farewells to two beloved members of our St Stephen's staff team. The amazing Nusrat Khaki has been with us for seven years and leaves us to take up a post at St James Catholic Primary School in Twickenham, where she will be a Learning Leader. Mrs Khaki is calm and serene, with limitless patience and the warmest of smiles. She has shown such love and care to so many children and we will miss her dearly. As well as being a teaching assistant in various year groups during her time with us, Nusrat has really enhanced our knowledge of Islam and delivered some fascinating lessons on the Muslim faith,
The fabulous Rachel Ferguson leaves us to take up a position as Youth Pastor at St Stephen's Church, where she will be working with teenagers and families. Luckily, as she will still be in our St Stephen's community, we are hoping that she will sometimes come and take part in our lovely Tuesday church assemblies. Rachel has been a wonderful colleague and is immensely popular with our children and staff. Her willingness to go the extra mile and encourage our children with love and kindness will be missed.
Thank you so much lovely ladies for all you have given our children and St Stephen's and good luck in your new posts.
CHRISTMAS AT ST ST STEPHEN'S
Last week we brought you news of our Year Two nativity and this week it is the turn of Reception. Here we give you images of their very first school production. It was a yuletide triumph. (see page five for more close ups of our youngest thespians). We rounded off the week with a delicious festive feast. Huge congratulations to chef Nicola and her team. Oh, and some festive Christmas jumper pictures to add to the yuletide mood.
Letters to Sadiq Khan in Year Four
Our Year Four children have been learning about plastic waste and the detrimental effect it is having on our environment. They have come up with lots of suggestions to improve things and have written to London Mayor, Sadiq Khan, to enlist his help. Here you see them 'publishing' their letters in their very best handwriting. These beautifully presented missives are now winging their way to Mr Khan.
