Our tasty new Summer menu is here and will be served from the beginning of the Summer term on Tuesday 22nd April. Please review the new menu with your child over the holidays.
If your child has a special diet menu, you will be sent this separately.
Please note, due to the bank holiday on Monday 21st, our first food delivery will be Tuesday 22nd, this will mean a change to the options shown for Tuesday 22nd April when Pizza will be served instead.
MEDICINES AND MEDICAL INFORMATION
Please be reminded that any new or changes in medical information about your child must be passed to the school via the office and not solely via the teacher at the classroom door/on playground. Additionally any new or temporary medicines your child needs should be handed in to the school office by an adult.
Introducing our new Mental Health Ambassadors. Last week Mrs Morrison and these lovely Year Five children attended a conference on how to become a school Mental Health Ambassador. Funded by Richmond School Nursing, this scheme will give our ambassadors the tools to help our children in the playground. Mrs Morrison and the ambassadors are drawing up an action plan as we speak. We are very keen to implement schemes that will make our playground the happiest place. It is crucial that our children feel safe and can sort out friendship issues. We will keep you posted with the latest Mental Health Ambassador news.
After you have been learning about making a balanced, nutritious meal in class, you are itching to don your apron and start cooking. That was the scenario for our Year Four chefs. They had spent time in class planning their perfect and balanced pasta dish, as well as honing their chopping and slicing skills. After all that groundwork it was off to Mrs Cox's kitchen for some hands on prepping and cooking. Like all top chefs, they had their meal plan beside them to ensure they stayed on track. As well as preparing the delicious fare, they did a proper job and cleared and washed up. Thank you to the wonderful Mrs Cox for hosting us and teaching our children some hands on kitchen skills.
