Focus Weeks

Our annual French day allows children and staff to be fully immersed in French culture with lots of fun activities and learning throughout the day including the opportunity to exercise their French language skills in our French market all while tasting various French foods. On this day, French is embedded across the curriculum with teachers delivering lessons with French links in all subject areas for example learning about numbers and completing maths challenges in French, listening to French stories and recreating French influenced artwork.

As a multicultural school, we always find opportunities to embed various cultures in our teaching, this is no different in French as we not only focus on France but also many other parts of the world, with each year group focusing on a different French speaking country and iconic French speaking person throughout the day.
