Below are some highlights from December at St Helen's, enjoy!
Rudolph Run
Our Charity Fun Run in aid of Brentwood Catholic Children's Society. Thanks to your kind donations we raised over £250
Carol Singing
Our School Choir sang at Stratford Station and Trafalgar Square to raise money for HCPT (Hosanna House Children's Pilgrimage Trust). On both occasions we raised just over £973.
Christmas Lunch
Once again Carol our head chef and her team cooked a delicious Christmas dinner with all the trimmings and decorated our hall for our special lunch.
Strings Orchestra
At the end of term, Strings Club put on a concert for their parents as well as the rest of the school at the end of the Raffle.
Our Nativity Plays
Every Phase Group put on a wonderful Nativity Play for, retelling the important story of Jesus' birth, and reminding us of the true meaning of Christmas.
Preschool, Nursery & Reception - Early Years
Year 1 & 2 - Key stage 1
Year 3 & 4 - Lower Key stage 2
Year 5 & 6 - Upper Key stage 2
Santa's Grotto
Fr Christmas set up his Grotto in our Small Hall. All of the children went to visit him and received a small gift.
End of Term Mass
Key Stage 2 celebrated the end of Term with a Mass of Celebration with music and singing from our Strings Orchestra and Choir.
Raffle and Class Parties
At the end of term, we had our annual Christmas Raffle, raising money for FOSH (Friends of St Helen's) to help buy new resources for the children. And of course we had class parties too!
Preschool
The children made festive biscuits and enjoyed their party too!
Making Gingerbread Cookies
Our School Council worked with Carol, our chef, to make and decorate some yummy Gingerbread Cookies!
Once again this year, the naughty elf was up to mischief, this time in Year 5!
