Dear Parents & Carers,
We are in the final stages of planning the residential visit for Year 6 to Shropshire. Here is some key information for you.
Please make sure you have completed and returned the medical form to the office. Contact the office, if you require another copy.
Read carefully below the details of what the children need to pack and bring. You do not need to buy new clothes. Many of the activities will involve the children getting dirty/wet and being active. So please ensure that the children have a range of comfortable clothes and old trainers. We do not recommend they bring their new trainers. They will not need to bring a rain coat as we will loan them a school one.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the year 6 staff via the school office.
Best wishes
Miss Doherty

What to pack & bring
All children will need to bring ruck-sack with the following:
Cap/Sun hat
Sun cream
Wallet/Purse with £20 spending money
Camera (no phone cameras allowed)
Pack lunch for Monday only. Plenty of drinks
A bottle to use for the week (we recommend no Air Up bottles)
Children will be given a hoodie to wear and keep. They will also be given a school rain coat to use for the week.
All children will need to bring a suitcase with the following packed in it: (see the kit list)
Pyjamas
Wash bag
Underwear (7 days worth to include spares)
Socks
Swimming kits
Towels x2
Bottoms = shorts, jogging bottoms, leggings - enough clothes to have clean clothes each day, plus spare. Jeans are not suitable
Long sleeve tops as well as t-shirts. Again enough for a new top each day.
Outfit for the disco
An old set of clothes - this is for muddy and water activities. These items of clothes may get very dirty. So please only send old items.
Old trainers x2 to wear each day for the various activities (plus a pair for water). So 3 in total
Shoes/plimsolls that can be worn in the water and muddy activities. These must be shoes that can get wet and dirty. Children will not be able to take part in water activities without the correct footwear. A cheap pair of plimsolls from a supermarket is best!
