The physical education curriculum inspires all pupils to succeed and excel in competitive sport and other physically-demanding activities. It provides opportunities for pupils to become physically confident in a way which supports their health and fitness. The lead has organised for opportunities for pupils to compete in sport and other activities that build character and help to embed values such as fairness and respect.
In addition, the curriculum is intended to develop additional life-skills such as resourcefulness, resilience, reciprocity and reflectiveness.
Gospel values underpin all learning with the PE curriculum as they influence pupil’s attitudes towards learning and each other.
