SkillsUSA at SST

SkillsUSA is a national organization serving high school and college students which prepares students for careers in technical, skilled and service occupations. More than 372,000 students and advisors join SkillsUSA each year, organized within more than 19,000 local classrooms at 4,658 schools in 53 state and territorial associations. In 2019-20, 20,598 teachers served as professional members and SkillsUSA advisors.
Involvement provides educational and leadership activities designed to build teamwork, citizenship, and character development. This organization builds and reinforces self-confidence, work attitudes and communication skills. SkillsUSA emphasizes total quality of work, high ethical standards, superior work skills, life-long education and pride in the dignity of work. It also promotes involvement in community service. More than 1,000 business, industry and labor sponsors support SkillsUSA through financial aid, contributions, and direct involvement of their people in the various activities and events.
