Freshman Orientation

NHS Members give freshman and new students a welcoming tour of the campus and answer questions.

September Meeting

Be sure to attend our first monthly meeting. We will induct new members, talk about representative elections and go over our service projects.

October Meeting

Mrs. Reagan presented information on applying for scholarships and grants(see slides above). We also discussed applying for NHS scholarships and service grants and created kits for Primary Children's Hospital.

NHS Scholarship

College Fair

Attend the College Fair during Parent Teacher Conferences and earn 1 hour service credit. You must create 3 questions and ask 3 different colleges those questions.

Attend the What to Know About the College Essay Webinar and write a short summary of what youl learned and you can earn 1 hour of Service.

Math tutoring for Freshman and Sophomore classes. You will earn 0.5 hours of service for every session you help during intervention.

We will meet at the Food Town to ask for donations to our local Food Bank.

This event raises money for local families in need during the holidays. We will take a field trip to purchase toys and other presents for families in need.

Mrs. Courtney Thomas gave a presentation on hosting and being an exchange student. We talked about upcoming service projects and made Valentines craft kits for Primary Children's Hospital.
