In light of school closures, Junior Library Guild is offering free access to its library of eBooks.

I have secured access codes for middle/high students to check out books through Open eBooks by First Book. Seventh and eighth graders will receive access to the middle school collection while ninth through twelfth graders will receive access to the high school collection. Please email me for your access codes at brogers@sstxx.org. In order to access books, you will need to download the Open eBooks app on your Android or Apple device. Ten eBooks can be downloaded at a time and will be available for 56 days before it needs to be renewed.

I know we have a large number of graphic novel and comics fans on our campus. Comixology Unlimited it free for 60 days at the moment and offers an unbelievable collection of graphic novels and comics for your reading pleasure. Please get parent permission, you will need a credit card in order to join.

Mo Willems' Daily Doodles--Author/illustrator of the Knuffle Bunny and Pigeon books is live-streaming a weekday "lunch doodle" through the Kennedy Center where he is currently the artist-in-residence. NOTE: The traffic on the live-stream is busy, so watching live could be tricky. The videos are archived at this YouTube playlist.
Grace Lin's Kids Ask Authors Podcast--Middle grade author of books like Year of the Dog and Mulan: Before the Sword is hosting a podcast in which authors answer questions from readers. In addition to submitting a question for an author, you can submit a book review, poem, short story, or joke to the podcast. Ms. Lin is also reading her books and has drawing demos on her YouTube channel.

Draw Everyday with Jarrett J. Krosoczka--Some of you have read (and loved) Mr. Kroscozka's graphic novel Hey, Kiddo. He also illustrated the Jedi Academy series and wrote and illustrated the Lunch Lady graphic novel series among several other books.
