Types of Service

1. Direct Service

Acts of service that require participants to establish direct contact and interact with the service clients.

Example: Secondary 3 Service Learning Week - Direct Service with Senior Citizens

2. Indirect Service

Acts of service that would result in service clients receiving resources they need. These acts do not require the direct contact of participants with service clients.

Example: Secondary 1 BASE Beach Clean-up, Secondary 4 Flag Day Fund Raising, organising a food collection drive for disadvantaged families, removing invasive plants to restore the ecosystem in a wetland

3. Advocacy Service

Advocacy involves participants' active promotion of a cause or principle to create awareness and action on an issue that impacts the community.
